In addition
to the uncompromised, tried and trued Carrillo H-Beam Connecting
Rods, Carrillo has also introduced a newly designed "Pro-A"
series for those applications that require a lighter duty component.
So what's the difference between H-Beam and Pro-Aconnecting rods?
The
difference lies in the manufacturing process. All Carrillo rods are manufactured
in San Clemente, California. Both rods start out with the same forging;
a propriety chrome/nickel/vanadium alloy, denoted as Carrilloloy, a steel
mixture. The difference is that the Pro-A rods require approximately 20%
less machine time to produce. Added to this, the Pro-A rods are manufactured
in large quantities to make it more cost effective. The down side to this
is a limited number of part numbers, restricted to the most popular of
the Carrillo products.
All this helps keep the cost of the Pro-A series rods down.
